I hear you BUT, in that kind of situation and w/o audience participation, a :30-2:00 pitch is going to be a buzz kill, no way around it. I might suggest using a format like the NY Tech Meetup. They allow for five mins to pitch and idea and then five mins for the crowd to ask questions (throw tomatoes at the presenter). That seems to work for everyone and might address Michelle's (and maybe others) concerns more effectively. ” -

Push the need for a concise 30 sec-1 min pitch, rambling sales pitches made me uncomfortable and killed the energy at the end of the evening. ”
