Hey Everyone,

Tonight, David Weeks, founder of David Weeks Studio, will join us talk about his transition from fine art to design, creating products for commercial and residential uses, and his commitment to democratic design.

>> David Weeks Studio

Join us for this very special evening and send us any questions you'd like me to ask to Sara Marino at [masked] or simply add them on the post here on AT:

AT OFFLINE: David Weeks Post on AT

Also, we have one more spot open for a quick 5 minute presentation at 7pm (I'm trying two before the main event this month). If you have something good to present, email Sara Marino - [masked].

Please RSVP if you plan to come <a href="http://productdesign.... our Meetup page</a>. This will speed your entrance as we'll have your name already checked in at the front desk.

Best, Maxwell

    •  I thought the speaker and venue were fantastic. As someone new to the industry trying to understand, this meeting was incredibly informative. It is great to hear a veteran's advice and experience. The only thing I would say is it was hard to hear. Many thanks for putting these meetups together!
    •  Knol's is an excellent meeting place; David Weeks was very informative; the audience was attentive
    •  inspiring as always. I missed the last few meetups and am glad to be back. My heart races faster during these meetings because it makes me want to invent something, create something, make something, build something, do something..... Maxwell is an excellent moderator and it was awesome to hear David Weeks describe how he started years ago making one lamp at a time and growing over the next 12 years or so and how he didnt really start selling items weekly until the 5th year etc. Lesson of the day, just make stuff, and keep making stuff, keep working, have patience, expect things to take time. The Knoll space is great, didnt know it was open to the public during the week. But definitely use a microphone the whole time because i was in the 4th row and still couldnt hear what was being said. anyway, my heart is still pounding hard.... must go make something now! ... can't... breathe... ... *thud*

Unfortunately, thought David Weeks was very charming, he was not a very strong speaker, which was frustrating. I think mikes are completely manditory. After he got his, it was so much easier to understand him. Otherwise, great! Enjoyed the cheese immensely.
    •  Great speaker and crowd. Perfect length and format.
    •  This is the first time I attended at AT Offline, thought it was organized very well. Great space, great job moderating the talk, and lovely little perks (wine, cheese!) Since I attended out of personal interest (not in the design profession) it was a little challenging to network but would love to attend the next events.
    •  Great speaker. Nice slide presentation. Wonderful event!
